Grab your flashlight and family and head to the Grimes Farm for a nocturnal scavenger hunt. Families will begin the search using flashlights and observation skills while hiking the trails. Reflectors will lead participants on a hunt for prizes. This is a great way to celebrate the final days of summer break and explore nature at night. Participants must pre-register before August 11 at 4:00 p.m. to reserve limited spots. There is no charge for this event. Please bring your flashlight(s) and wear sturdy shoes.
Registration Fee: FREE
Registration Deadline: August 14th by 4:00 p.m.

Newly formed Iowa Americana duo, Weary Ramblers bring years of experience to the stage with award-winning songwriting and chemistry. Chad Elliott and Kathryn Fox showcase multi-instrumental performances with tight harmonies and great storytelling. Iowa Public Radio called them "nothing short of an Iowa-based super-duo". Weary Ramblers are winners of the 2026 International Blues Challenge.
Those attending may bring beer and wine to drink with them, but must abide by the following rules:
- All laws of the State of Iowa regarding consumption of alcohol will be strictly observed.
- Violation of state code with regard to alcohol consumption will result in expulsion from the area.
- No kegs, hard liquor, or glass beer bottles are allowed.
There is limited fixed seating at the amphitheater, so please bring a lawn chair to enjoy the show! This is a FREE event!

About Marshall County
Established in 1846, Marshall County is a collection of 13 communities and is home to over 40,000 residents. The county was named after John Marshall, Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Marshall County is administered by a three-member Board of Supervisors who are elected for four-year terms. Other elected officials include the Attorney, Auditor/Recorder, Sheriff, and Treasurer.
